A Complex Legacy
The origins of the Great Canadian Kilt Skate date back to 2015 when Canada celebrated the bicentennial of Sir John A. Macdonald, principal architect of Confederation and Canada’s first Prime Minister. In recent years, his legacy has been called into question, especially with respect to his relations with Canada’s indigenous peoples. This website continues to examine the issue.
